i am tyler, the founder of astro project. i am a self-taught graphic designer who’s been designing since april 2024, with a strong focus on experimental, poster-driven visual work.

could you share more about this artistic collaboration with paper? what is the concept and motivations behind this series?

paper reached out to me to collaborate on an artistic project, and i was immediately drawn to the opportunity to experiment with a new concept.

the initial idea was to create a design centered around fashion as the core subject. as the collaboration evolved, we decided to push the concept further by expanding it into a three-piece series, allowing the idea to develop more depth and visual continuity across multiple works.

i’ve always had a strong interest in art, particularly graphic design, and a long-standing desire to create my own posters and visual work. while it initially felt like a difficult space to break into, i eventually committed to learning and building my own practice, a decision that has completely shaped my creative direction.

my style has grown organically from a love of gradients, outdoor-inspired visuals, and a strong attention to detail. i’m drawn to compositions that feel immersive and considered, where color, texture, and structure work together to create a distinct atmosphere rather than just a single image.

any particular work you would like to highlight and talk more about?

my favourite piece to date is titled static. it features my design strengths and ability to create mood and depth through colour and composition, combining immersive textures with precise visual structure to create a piece that feels both balanced and dynamic.

i hope this journey leads me to more collaborations with other artists, brands, and creative projects. working with different perspectives allows me to grow and challenge my style while developing ideas that reach new audiences.
